According to Wikipedia, “A gluten-free diet is a diet that strictly excludes gluten, a mixture of proteins found in wheat and related grains, including barley, rye, oat, and all their species and hybrids.”

This diet has become a little more of a lifestyle choice of late, with as many as 3.1 million* (source, Mayo Clinic) Americans choosing to avoid gluten, despite not suffering from celiac disease.  With so many of our grains becoming overly-processed, people are finding inflammation as a health issue that they’d rather live without.

Bread, pasta and cereals are still staples in many households across the world.  And many nutritionists are still advocating for oatmeal as a healthy breakfast option.  Besides- these foods are delicious.  Who doesn’t like a good pizza or bowl of pasta from time-to-time!?
