Co-Owner / Trade Manager
Joseph’s family is from Milden, SK, where the Billett Family Farm is located. His dad, who was the only sibling of 5 to leave the farm, was stationed on Vancouver Island after joining the navy. A couple years after Joseph was born, the family relocated to Alberta, settling in Agfinity’s future hometown headquarters in Stony Plain.
When referring to his better half Amy, Joseph truly means it. Married in the spring of 2004, the family blossomed with the additions of three children, Hannah, Truett and Samuel. They love adventuring, and spend as much time as they can inside their RV and by the ocean on regular trips to Tofino, BC.
Joseph has been in the agriculture and grain marketing industry for 10 years. He loves crafting vison and working with his team to move Agfinity forward! His role includes working with Feedlots, Grain Companies and Feed Mills, spending much of his time hunting the best grain buying opportunities on Agfinity.com.
For fun, Joseph competes in powerlifting and Strongman. Whether he’s helping a teammate reach a bench press milestone, or a grain buyer cover in a load of barley, building strong relationships, professionally and personally is his daily passion.

Amy was born and raised in Abbotsford, BC, spending much of her time on her grandparents’ and uncle’s dairy farms. At the age of 14, she and her family traveled north to Dawson Creek, BC, where she stayed until graduation.
Amy’s love for animals meant many hours, days, months and years volunteering and working at a local veterinary clinic. In September 1998, she headed off to Edmonton and Spruce Grove to attend the University of Alberta where she graduated in the Spring of 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, as well as a Degree in Animal Science. Amy has been working in the agriculture industry ever since!
Amy married her true love, Joseph, in 2004. They now have three growing children, Hannah, Truett and Samuel. Between the three busy kiddos and working in the Agfinity offices, Amy has had no choice but to master her time management skills! Luckily for her, being busy is her specialty!
…But that’s not to say, she doesn’t enjoy taking a little time here and there with her family and extended family! Amy enjoys camping in the mountains and taking trips to her favourite place, Tofino, BC.
Amy also enjoys woodworking and decorating cakes, often tying up a bay in the garage or the kitchen for extended periods of time. But nobody’s complaining when Amy’s in the kitchen!! And if they did, it would be wise to remember that Amy’s husband is a powerlifter…
Amy has been involved with Agfinity from day one and loves working with the entire Agfinity team. She runs the accounts and logistics departments, aiming to ensure everyone’s grain gets where its supposed to go.

Plower, Red Deer South – Vegreville East
Hi, my name’s Kody, and I am a recent addition to Agfinity. I’m what’s known as a “plower” – which means it’s my job to make the calls necessary to assess the grain market. And if my name sounds familiar, chances are we’ve talked on the phone about many topics– anything from: grain futures, to all the wild and absurd happenings of our current times (but not aliens–we have to draw the line somewhere).
Before trading I was an English teacher in B.C., and recently moved back to Alberta after a long stint away. So of course, in my spare time I enjoy reading about various topics of interest. When I’m not doing this, I also enjoy hiking, being outdoors, traveling and puttering in my backyard.
As a plower, the highlight of my job is without a doubt, encountering all the various topics that come about when chatting with such a large number of farmers every day. Each day is not only an opportunity to provide value striving for the best possible grain prices, but also an opportunity to learn from literally decades worth of experience. In other words, every day always provides something new to learn.

Senior Trader, Red Deer North – Vegreville West
Erin is from Warburg Alberta, where she was born and raised on her family farm. This farm consists of grain and hay land, with her parents raising purebred and commercial Simmental cattle. Her Great Grandfather started the family farm in the 1930’s when he moved to Canada. The family farm consists of Erin’s Grandpa, her dad, two uncles and their families, where they all work together to have a successful operation.
Growing up in the agriculture industry and being heavily involved in 4-H helped drive Erin towards an ag career. In the spring of 2017, Erin graduated from Olds College with a diploma in Agriculture Management with a major in Marketing. After attending school, Erin knew she wanted to help farmers get the best experience possible when it came to marketing there commodities. This is what drew Erin to Agfinity.
When Erin is not at Agfinity, she can be found helping on the family farm or hanging with her parents’ purebred and commercial cattle preparing for shows.
Buyer Relations Manager
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, studied fashion and business at the University of Manitoba during which time she did an exchange program to Holland and got the travel bug. She’s travelled to many places in the world, both through work and personally. She loves experiencing/learning about new cultures. She comes from a Portuguese background and enjoys all the food and traditions that come along with it.
After being in the fashion industry (both as a buyer and planner) for 9 years she decided to give it a go at her own business which is when she moved to Edmonton in 2007. Her and her business partner opened up a local women’s boutique that is now going onto 11 years. This is where she later found her husband Brady and had her son, Mateo. She loves her boys!
She’s big on birthdays and is known for remembering everyone’s birthday – and without Facebook’s help! She loves spending time with family and friends. Relationships are important to her, both professional and personal. She believes a handshake still matters and is happy to work for a company that strives to be transparent, unbiased and genuine in everything they do in order to build solid, lasting relationships.
If you come by the office, she’s always up for a game of foosball! Be warned, she is pretty competitive!
Buyer Relations Assistant
Hey readers, my name is Kyler Tluchak (Tah-loo-chuk) and I am one of the newest members to the Agfinity Buyer Relations team. Working alongside Sandra Correia and Joseph Billett, it is my job to communicate with buyers daily on their current grain needs and pricing, checking in on market updates, and helping customers find the best product in a timely manner.
I was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and my family moved to Beaumont, Alberta when I was a few years old. My family that still reside in the Melfort area have been farming for decades and I am proud to now work in the Agriculture industry as they will for years to come. I attended MacEwan University and in 2014, I received my Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Strategic and Financial Management. Prior to my start with Agfinity I spent quite a few years in the Oil & Gas industry as well as working in sales for the past four years in the Wine & Spirits industry. I am always up for a chat about Scotch and all the new craft beer we see in the market today!
In July of 2019 I moved to Spruce Grove to be with my girlfriend Jennifer who is a born and raised “Spruce Grovian”. She has shown me all there is to see and know about the Parkland County area. With so many great local restaurants, lakes, walking trails, and amenities, I am happy to now call this home.
When I am not calling buyers and keeping tabs on the latest market updates, in the summer I am out fishing at our family lake lot at Buck Lake, or driving my pride and joy – a 1965 Ford Thunderbird (which I named Lucille). The car was purchased from the original owner with less than 30k miles, the engine has since been rebuilt and is for the time being complete – but as any classic car owner knows, there is always one more thing to work on. Besides my car, I have been collecting and trading guitars since I was a teenager and have amassed a collection of guitars which now requires their own room. One that I am particularly fond of is a 1974 Gibson Howard Roberts Custom in sunburst. Our dog Winnie, an 8-month-old East German Shepard, also keeps me quite busy and you will usually find us at the dog park every odd night or out for a stroll thru Heritage Grove Park.
With COVID-19 changing most of what was our normal every-day life, I think it is important to mention that I was hired and trained virtually. I have an incredible team, none of whom I have actually seen or met face to face in the almost three months I’ve worked with Agfinity. You sometimes forget what used to be a “normal” workday.
In these uncertain times I hope you all stay safe and enjoy the time we get to spend with those close around us. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I look forward to maybe having a chance soon to find you some grain, or just to chat about cars, fishing, or the never-ending rain.

Jordan McIver was born and raised in oil country (Fort McMurray, Alberta) but now calls Edmonton home. After a brief phase of competitive online gaming, he quickly discovered a passion for building websites. This hobby led to a natural career choice resulting in Jordan attaining a Computer Science degree from the University of Lethbridge.
After graduation, Jordan worked at a variety of challenging web development environments including government, oil/gas, web agencies; mostly building educational resources and web applications.
Although not raised on the farm, Jordan is passionate about agriculture and learning the ins and outs of Alberta’s farming business. He likes to use technology as a means to find solutions to day to day problems which will help farmers sell their grain!
When not programming away at his desk, you can find Jordan enjoying the outdoors, running and biking on Edmonton’s river valley trails. In addition, he competes in a variety of trail races and hikes in the Rocky Mountains on the weekends.
Customer Experience Coordinator
Cathy grew up in a little town south of Edmonton called Beaumont and enjoyed all the cultural experiences of growing up in a French town and attending a French school. After getting married she moved to the Spruce Grove / Stony Plain area and has been here ever since. She has been married to Loren Jespersen for 35 years – quite an accomplishment! Cathy and Loren have three grown kids and three grandkids and love them all to pieces!
Cathy currently has the privilege of living in the country and enjoys a beautiful view out the back deck with visits from deer and an occasional moose, and sometimes a small fox or coyote. Living in the country is peaceful and definitely feeds her soul! And, although she plays no part in the harvest on the land around her house – she enjoys watching the hay come off and seeing the round bales dotting the scenic view.
A glimpse into her life on any given day is interesting! She loves to fill her world with people – they bring her energy! Cathy loves a challenge and has a wee bit of a competitive nature. Her hobbies include travelling. She would say that any type of travel is her favorite, but her “go to” place is a beach and an ocean! Her best days are always in the summer. The perfect day would consist of friends, family, sitting on the deck and enjoying a fire and perhaps painting a picture of a place she has visited.
Cathy’s family trade was in horticulture and her extended family is a great influence in agriculture. Her personal background includes sales, coaching and mentoring and the health and wellness industry and teaching art. At Agfinity you will find her on the computer working on logistics and on the phone, connecting details and people. She loves when plans and projects come together and everyone involved feels successful.
Many of you that have visited the Agfinity office have had the opportunity to meet Penelope. She is a wrinkly, snorty, snoring British Bulldog, lovingly dubbed Penelope Sprinkles Billett by the Billett children, because everyone in the family needs a middle name. Penelope has unofficially become the Agfinity mascot and “therapy” dog, often giving team members the opportunity to burn off some steam playing with her or taking her for a walk. She often spends days at the office and will place herself right in your direct path when entering and exiting the building. Of course, why wouldn’t she! On a sunny day, it’s the best place to soak up the warm rays while keeping an eye on the world outside.
Penelope loves to greet visitors, usually with an excess of saliva and doggy kisses. She also loves hanging with the Agfinity team. She contributes noisily to the team huddles every morning she is in the office and does a thorough check of everyone’s bags, purses and lunches on a daily basis to ensure everything is safe and acceptable, but in all truth, she’s just looking for something to eat. Eating is Penelope’s number one pastime with sleeping following at a very close second.
Penelope thoroughly enjoys meeting new people and is more than happy to greet you at the front door when you come to visit.
